Washington Foundation Quarter Horse Club (WaFQHC)

New Website at www.WaFQHC.com

A new branch of the National Foundation Quarter Horse Association has opened up in the state of Washington! Our club focuses on preserving and promoting the original versatile bulldog foundation Quarter Horse.

Anyone can become a member of our club, even if you don't own a horse. Horses may only be registered with the NFQHA if they are registered AQHA and have at least 80% Quarter Horse blood. Horses that qualify may participate in shows to earn points that will qualify them for the end of the year finals show. The NFQHA focuses on a versatile animal that an do anything from pleasure, trail, to chasing a cow. That makes the shows fun and exciting, as well as a great learning experience for both horse and rider. Everyone is encouraged to participate in all classes, even if you have no experience. The best way to learn, is to do.

Fundraiser-  We are currently doing a stallion raffle. Owners of NFQHA stallions may donate a breeding to the club. Raffle tickets are $1, the person that wins the raffle may choose one breeding from the studs available to breed their mare to. Please contact the Don Pierson, President of the WaFQHC for more information at ktranch@3-cities.com or (509)234-5881.

Feb 22- Team Penning Clinic- These clinics just keep getting better and better. We had a full clinic, once again. It was a fun time, food was provided by Nancy Bailey and Cecelia and Dean Van Epps, with money going to support the WaFQHC. Again, a great time, and thanks to everyone that participated.
